Karuturi: AFC won but by two goals

Michael Nam

Karuturi Sport was a bitter side after being subjected to a 4-1 whipping by their FK Cup quarterfinal hosts AFC Leopards at the Mumias Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking after the match, Head Coach Michael Nam lamented that the official showed clear signs of bias in their decision making especially with two of the goals scored.

Disappointment

-I am very disappointed with the level of officiating in this match. It was very wanting and is like we came here just to honor the match.

-I do not dispute the fact that AFC won today, but by two goals. They should not have relied on that kind of a situation since it feels to us like the match was already won before being played.

-My players were very demoralized by several key decisions made in the match hence they lost in the second half.

-That why some matches like these should be played in places where more people get to see these episodes.

AFC Leopards will now proceed into the semifinals of the annual tournament and Nam has wished them best of lack in their matches.

He [Nam] however warned them against relying on such refereeing gaffes to get a convincing win.
