Kamau laments over officiating

Thika United played to a one-all draw with Ulinzi Stars in a Tusker Premier League match played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Sunday 28 October 2012.

Penalty

Kepha Aswani had put the visitors upfront in the second minute but the lead was cancelled by Mulinge Ndeto from the spot in the 20th minute after Aswani allegedly handled the ball in the box.

Thika United Head Coach John Kamau lamented on the decision, saying it cost the three points.

-The ball hit Aswani on his quad muscle but the referee awarded a penalty and that cost us the game, Kamau told futaa.com.

-The league is in a critical stage and I appeal to the officials to be extra-keen, he added.

Log

After the result, Ulinzi and Thika Unite are tied at 44 points and are fifth and sixth respectively in the log, the former having a superior goal difference.
