After falling to a 2-1 defeat by Gor Mahia in their Saturday 22 September Tusker Premier League match, AFC Leopards all but fired head Coach Jan Koops.
In what appeared like some sort of warning to the tactician and his bench, the club’s executive promised to implement changes.
Surprised
This decision appears rash to former Kenyan international Joe Kadenge, who says that the team had given a good account in the fateful match.
-I was very entertained in the match, exactly what I was looking forward to, Kadenge told Futaa.com.
-The first half belonged to Gor Mahia and the second to Leopards.
-The talk of changes in the technical bench, therefore, surprises me. If they needed to do that they should have done it back when the team went to Mombasaand lost to Tusker, not now.
-What the team needs to do is work on fielding; that is where the problem is-not the technical bench.
Log
AFC are currently ranked third in the league’s standings, behind Gor and Tusker FC.
