Ivorians date Austria in friendly

Elephants, the Ivory Coast national team, will take on Austria on Wednesday 14 November in one of their build up matches in preparation for the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in South Africa.

The match, which will be staged at the Linzerstadion in Linz, will be the first between the two sides since the October 2007 loss the Ivorians suffered at the hands of Austria in Vienna. The game then ended 3 – 2.

Ivory Coast was drawn in Group D of the AFCON, referred to as the group of death. They will face off with Togo, Tunisia and Algeria.
