United came from behind to pick up a 1-1 draw against host Muhoroni

Muhoroni had the earliest of intents in the tie but had to wait till the 16th minute to go 1-0.
Central defender Gregory Nyapala rose high up to connect to an Elly Otuoma corner kick. The lead lasted 16 minutes and Muhoroni failed to deal with a melee after Mathare United took a free kick.
Jesse Were, now Mathare’s best bet for goal got his foot to the ball to draw the slum boys level with his seventh strike of the season.

With the draw, Muhoroni Youth are now up on 20 points and out for relegation spot 15 to a safe 14 with a better goal difference over Rangers FC.
Mathare United have now caught up with eight placed Karuturi Sport and ninth placed Chemelil Sugar on 26 points but will have to contend with tenth due to goal difference.
Both Muhoroni and Mathare United have played 22 of 30 games lined up this season.
