Injury headache for Gusii united

Gusii United play Bidco United in the Kenyan nationwide league division one facing several injuries that threaten to disrupt their plans.

The club from Kisii town will be without five players for the trip to Thika town today (Saturday 11th June 2011) as they seek to climb up the second tier league table.

Coach Rashid Omar confirmed to Kenyanfootie.com the unavailability of those players.

-I will have to operate this weekend without five players; Evans Kiwanuka has an ankle injury as does Nelson Kieta.

-There is Robert Oyugi with a knee injury and Kevin Lemaa with a thigh strain. They all miss the trip to Thika.

-Stephen Obati is also out with Malaria, so that is five players out of the game, Omar complained.

Hit back

Gusii got only one point out of their last two encounters, a 2-0 loss to Magongo Rangers and a 1-1 draw with Admiral. Omar is optimistic of better results.

-The last week was a bad one for us because we did not play too well and again referees cost us points. It was bad.

-We have talked to the players who felt cheated with the officiating last time, so we will hopefully do better this time, he exuded confidence.

The game kicks off on Saturday 11th June 2011 at 1500 Hrs local time.
