Injury boost for Sofapaka

Sofapaka players

Sofapaka have much positivity to look forward to as they prepare for their Saturday 25 August Kenyan Premier League (KPL) tie with Chemelil Sugar at the Nyayo National Stadium as a number of the team’s players are returning from injury.

Njoroge back

Defender John Njoroge was a concern after sustaining an ankle knock against Nairobi City Stars the last time out but team manager Jacques Roberto has confirmed he is back and will be in contention for a place at the weekend.

Defensive midfielder Collins Gattuso Okoth who missed the City Stars tie with a dental problem and Bob Mugalia who had a calf injury are also back in contention as per the team manager’s confirmation.

Welcome boost

-We have a good boost going into the Chemelil Sugar encounter; John Njoroge is back and training well after the injury at Hope Centre and so are Bob Mugalia and Okoth. This is welcome news because they are all key players and their availability gives us more options, he told futaa.com.

The match against Chemelil will be the second of the double header at the stadium. It will kick off at 1600hrs.
