Injury boost for KPL giant killers

Henry Omino

With the Tusker Premier League (TPL) set for the 26th round of matches, giant killers Western Stima are set to take on KCB and will have a massive boost with the return of defender Kevin Oluoch for the tie at the Bukhungu Stadium.

Resumed training

The defender missed the last two games as the Westerners thumped AFC Leopards and Sofapaka but coach Henry Omino confirmed that he resumed training on Tuesday and is vying for a place in the Sunday 30 September game.

Omino, speaking to futaa.com, however, said that with the increasing competitive levels in the team the defender will have to fight for a starting berth.

Can’t guarantee

-Oluoch is back. He started training on Tuesday and is in good shape so if he proves it in training he will feature in the KCB game though I can’t guarantee it because in his absence other players have really impressed.

-His return, all the same, is a big boost because it adds cover at this critical stage of the season, he said.

Western Stima is seventh on the premier League table with 36 points from 25 matches.
