Just a day after losing the battle to have their weekend FKF Cup match moved closer home, Tusker Premier League side Karuturi Sport is set to depart for Mumias in the morning of Friday 5 October 2012 head of their Saturday 6th October 2012 match against hosts AFC Leopards.
Confirming the information to futaa.com, head Coach Michael Nam assured that the team would stage a great show in the match and restating his earlier intention to take the battle to the den.
Ready to challenge
-We will leave Naivasha in the morning and the management has confirmed that to me already so that we can honor the match away at Mumias. This is not a distraction to me since I have been training the boys well thus I am confident of success.
-We are prepared to give the best albeit being an away match so that we can qualify to the next stage of the competition.
Karuturi had requested the federation to consider shifting the match venue to either Nakuru or Nairobi citing financial constraints, a point that AFC objected to vehemently.
