Ahead of the derby match between archrivals AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia on Saturday 22 September 2012, former AFC Leopards Organizing Secretary Khalid Njiraini, has promised to reward the team if they emerge victorious.

According to the club’s official website, Afcleopards.net, Njiraini , in an effort to boost the morale of the players, has pledged Kshs 50,000 to the team if they win the derby and a further Kshs 250,000 if they go ahead and win the Tusker Premier League (TPL) title.

He also called upon the club’s fans to support the team ahead of the game.

-This is the time the team needs everyone’s support to deliver the goods, Njiraini said.

AFC Leopards is second in the TPL log with 45 points from 24 matches while Gor Mahia is third with 43 points from the same number matches.
