The future of Kenyan Premier League leaders AFC Leopards remains unclear after the club’s interim office that has overseen affairs at the den run smoothly was served with a court order to immediately cease operations.
Respect law
The office bearers have decided that they will follow the law to the letter and do as requested by the order filed by five applicants: Sammy Aina Washiko, Everlyne Wairimu, Henry Wasilwa, Mathew Oporwa, and Sammy Maina.
Speaking to futaa.com, the club’s acting secretary general Mr. Duncan Angode said as officials they can’t contest a court direction so at the moment they will vacate office but when asked what then will be the fate of the club, his answer was terse.
Future unclear
-Though we don’t know who is behind all this we just have to abide by the law, we will leave office as directed by court.
-What happens to the club now I can’t tell, neither do I know who will take over from the current office because from the court order we are being told that we have overstayed our time. We have tried our best during our time now we will just wait and see what unfolds, he said.
