Impressive Timbe eyeing CECAFA

Harambee Stars’ winger Ayub Masika Timbe has set his eyes on the CECAFA Senior Challenge cup set for end of the year in Uganda.

Speaking to futaa.com after his impressive debut for the National team on Tuesday evening, the RC Genk forward expressed readiness to represent the country in the regional tournament.

-I am very confident that with the current squad Kenya can reclaim the regional champions’ title since they are ready to grow.

-The coach is experienced and fits the time. He only needs time to do his work and all will be alright since talent is available in the country.

Timbe also commended his colleague for their brilliance against Bafana Bafana despite the narrow loss that saw them go down 1-2 at the Nyayo National Stadium.

-It felt good to play in that team and make my debut against a strong opposition like South Africa. The team did a commendable job in the match.
