Imposter using AllStars' name in dirty business

Fake letter

An individual purporting to be the Team Manager at Division One side Nakuru AllStars has written to three Ghanain players, Francis Kwame Egyir Coffie, Isaac Ahoma Obeng Kanor and Antoy Essirifi informing them that they have been considered for trial opportunities at the team.

Below is the content of the letter (verbatim):

-We hereby invite the above mentioned Ghanaian Football players to undergo a trial out exercises with our club from 25th February-10th Match, 2013 to enable our club technical director to justify their standard and possible signing of contract with our club.

-During stay in our club, we shall provide accommodation, feeding and transportation. The players accept to afford their full board flight ticket and will get refund for the ticket when giving contract in our club

-We wish to inform you that entry visa would be issue you on arrival to Jomo-Kenyatta Airport Nairobi. Looking forward to welcome you in Kenya.

Unaware

Nakuru AllStars’ Chief Executive Robert Muthomi has disowned the letter and the assumption is that the writer, Jacob Moktar, wanted to use it to extort money from the players.

-We have not invited any Ghanaian players. We are not holding any trials this year and we will in no way go for players that we have no prior knowledge of, Muthomi told Futaa.com.

The letter comes complete with a manipulated AllStars logo and rubber stamp.
