Homeside Makolanders thumped by Mathare

On Saturday 6 October, Makolanders welcomed Mathare United to a Football Kenya Federation [FKF] Girls’ Premier League match.

The match ended on a 3-1 scoreline, in favour of the visitors.

In the match, Makolanders’ Clare Wanga opened the scoresheet with a fifth minute strike.

However, Mathare managed to come back into the match, with Winnie Mugeci converting a 30^th minute penalty.

Mugeci netted another spot-kick, awarded in the 75^th minute, to shoot her side up, before Vivian Akinyi sealed the victory with an 80^th minute strike.

After the match, Makolanders are ranked tenth in the league, while Mathare are placed third.
