Homeboyz beat Kisumu to open gap

Kakamega Homeboyz handed Kisumu Municipality a 2-0 beating to further secure their chances of getting promoted into the first tier of Kenyan football.

This was in their Saturday 6 October match, played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

The goals were netted in each half of the match, with Daniel Waweru finding the back of the net in the 25th minute, allowing Ronald Otieno to seal the victory with a 52nd minute strike.

Standings

After the match, Homeboyz have 78 points, six infront of second-placed Finlays Horticulture.

Kisumu on the other hand have 39 points and are ranked 11th in the Western Zone of Kenya's Division One.
