Kenya’s Harambee Stars head coach Henri Michel has urged local fans to turn up in large numbers and support their team against Bafana Bafana of South Africa, in an international friendly match, on Tuesday 16 October.
Speaking during today’s press briefing at Nairobi Hotel, the Frenchman, who will be guiding Stars in an international match for the first time since taking over, said that his aim is to improve Kenya’s results and obtain recognition from FIFA; in terms of ranking.
Mission
-We are not well ranked and we are starting from very low, so we need support from all quarters, said Michel.
Kenya is currently placed 128th in the FIFA rankings and a win against Bafana Bafana could improve their ratings in next month's rankings.
The match to be played at Nyayo National Stadium, will kick off at 1900hrs local time.
