AFC Leopards lead the 2010 Tusker Premier League (TPL) champions Ulinzi Stars 1 – 0 as at the break in the league match at the Mumias Sports Complex.
Nahimana goal
Jonas Nahimana scored the goal in the second minute with a free kick after a foul by Kevin Ouma on the speedy Paul Were. The goal is his third against Ulinzi Stars since the Rwandan international joined the Kenyan top flight.
Baraza handball
Ulinzi Stars piled the pressure as the game progressed but it is the home team that carried the honours going into the break. Perhaps the only thing AFC Leopards had to worry about is the yellow card shown to Mike Barasa for a handball.
If they manage to hold on to the score, they will rise above Gor Mahia in the standings while closing in on leaders Tusker who are at the break on a barren draw with Muhoroni Youth at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.
