The Kenyan Premier League match pitting Chemelil Sugar FC against Gor Mahia FC, played at Afraha Stadium, on Sunday 15 July, raised Kshs 637, 800 from the ticket sales.

K’ogalo emerged the victors, after beating the hosts 0-1 to maintain their seven-game unbeaten streak.

Low turn-out

However, Ticket Masters Ltd, the ticketing company contracted by the club to sell the tickets, attributed the low turn-out to the fact that the locals were not aware about the match.

-Generally, all the fans were from Nairobi; Gor Mahia travelling groups. I think the locals were not aware about the game thus a low turn-out, Director Martin Nkari told futaa.com.

The VIP tickets were retailed at Kshs 400 while the terraces tickets were sold at Kshs 200.
