Gulshan, Mombasa Poly pick up wins

Action in South Coast Provincial League Zone B resumed at the weekend with three games; two on Saturday 8 and one on Sunday 9 September 2012

At Gorilla Mtongwe, Gulshan picked a 2-1 win over Dream Team.

On Saturday, the hosts went 1-0 up on nine minutes through a Swaleh Marere goal. But the early lead was cancelled out by Hesbon Kimonge who leveled the scores for Dream Team. Haroun Omondi however earned Gulshan all points when he struck in the 87^th minute.

In another Zone B match played on the same day, Blue Rangers shared the spoils with Coast Stima after they drew 2-2 at Chaani.

Haul to 11

On Sunday, Mombasa Polytechnic saw Gombato 2-0 in the only Zone B game played in Mzimuni ground in Ukunda.

Nicodemus Odipo improved his goal haul to 11 when he opened the scores in the 14^th minute. Another goal by Wycliffe Obiero in the 68^th minute of ensured Mombasa Poly won the game to stay top of Zone B with 33 points, ten points ahead of ninth placed Gombato.
