He is in the ranks on
Manchester City but was sent out for a season long loan for the 2011/12 season
at Dutch side Feyenoord.
My grandfather was Italian
But Swedish striker John Guidetti now wants away from the English Premier League Champions and has now set eyes on settling at Lazio in the Italian Serie A.
In settling for the Serie A, and especially so Lazio, Guidetti has pointed out at family lineage as one of the main reasons, amongst others, as a major reason of a cross over.
-My grandfather was Italian. We originated in Ferrara and I've been coming to Italy on holiday for years, he told Corriere dello Sport.
Youth development in Kenya
-The bind is strong and my family still has an apartment in Rome. I've always dreamed of playing in Serie A one day, he added
Guidetti spent part of his youth development in Kenya, with Ligi Ndogo being one of the academies that he attended.
He joined the youth side of Brommapojkarna, a Swedish side from 2007 for a year before moving to Manchester City the next year. In his ended loan spell, Guidetti scored 20 league goals from 23 league games.
