Ticket sales for the Gor Mahia versus Tusker match played at the City Stadium on Sunday 28 October 2012 raised an impressive amount of cash, with close to three million Kenyan shillings raised.

A gross total of Kshs 2,762,500 was raised from the match that Gor Mahia won by a solitary goal to go on top of the Tusker Premier League with 55 points from 28 matches.
7,950 terrace tickets, each retailing at Ksh 200 were sold raising a total of Kshs 1,590,000 while Kshs 1,172,500 was raised from the 2,345 VIP tickets sold. Each VIP ticket was being sold at Kshs 500.
Firm
Security firm Wells Fargo handled the ticket-selling duties for Gor Mahia.
