Isaac Ochieng, the centre referee who was supposed to officiate in the Gor Mahia versus Karuturi Sport encounter at the Nairobi City Stadium on Saturday 20 October is unavailable and has been replaced.
Ichingwa in charge
According to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) secretary general Mr. Lordvick Aduda, the official called in to inform of his unavailability and has since been replaced by Amos Ichingwa.
Speaking to futaa.com, Aduda said the occurrence was normal in the game and it should not be read otherwise. He also confirmed that Aden Marwa who was appointed as the first assistant in the Mathare United-Oserian game is unavailable and Mike Mwangi will take over.
Fully understand
-Isaac Ochieng called in to inform us that he will not be available for the game and we fully understand. Aden Marwa is also held up somewhere else and has thus been replaced. Ichingwa will take over in the Gor game while Mike Mwangi will be replacing Marwa.
-This is a normal thing in the game because we can’t play without a referee if they call in to say they aren’t available so people should not take it too far, he said.
