The club has gone on a huge spending free over the current off-season, purchasing over ten players.
With a Kenyan Premier League title tilt, FK Cup defence and a CAF Confederations Cup challenge of importance to the club, they have laid large on incoming players.
With many new faces of high quality, there was bound to be competition for places and Awono has confirmed that he has still to decide on starting players for several positions.

-There are very many good players at the club now.
-We have brought in may high quality players so that every position is strong, and now the competition is very high. There are places we will need to decide on who starts.
-All the players want to play games, so they are working hard, which is good. We will need to assess and see what we can do in terms of the playing unit, he told Futaa.com.
