Missing out in the CAF list to play in the Confederations Cup due to a late arrival is a factor that new Gor Mahia signing Donald Mosoti takes to spur him to greatness as far as domestic duties are concerned.
The defender who was acquired too late to make the team’s CAF list says he wants to compensate that with giving a great contribution in the other tournaments that the team takes part in and he takes a lot of confidence from a great showing in the DSTV Super Cup game against Tusker.
Repay trust
Speaking to futaa.com after making his debut for the country’s CAF Confederations Cup representatives, the former City Stars captain admitted to having had pressure ahead of the game but got a good reception from the fans which made him settle well and has vowed to repay the fans’ trust by a good show in the coming season.
-I know I came here a fraction too late to feature in all competitions that my team will be playing in but that will not get me downcast. There are a number of other domestic tournaments that I will take part in and if given the chance by the coaches I will put in my best.
Great show
-I also want to put in a great show for the team as a way of appreciating the fans for the great welcoming they granted me in the team especially as I made my debut in the DSTV Super Cup game, he said.
Mosoti was signed from Kawangware based side Nairobi City Stars, making the move on the transfer deadline day, more than two weeks after Gor Mahia’s submission of their players’ list for the continental engagements.
