Gor Mahia midfielder Joseph Pablo Njuguna’s return to the team and the starting line up for the match against SoNy Sugar on Sunday 9 September was the most talked about issue ahead of the encounter.
Asset
The team’s deputy coach Bobby Ogolla even described him as an asset in anticipation of another outstanding performance at the Nairobi City Stadium. The former Rangers man however, lasted for just half an hour as coach Zdravko Logarusic pulled him out.
It wasn’t clear if his substitution early in the game was due to a recurrence of the injury that had kept him out of the Ulinzi Stars win or a tactical change but the player clearly left the pitch bemused.
Kevin Omondi took his place with Gor Mahia dominating but scores still barren.
