Gor Mahia hosted SoNy Sugar in the Tusker Premier League (TPL) encounter played at the Nairobi City Stadium on Sunday 9 September and emerged best but they took home more than just the three points.

Ivan Anguyo who had a great game and scored Gor Mahia’s only goal in the 1 – 0 win took home the best player’s award, a DSTV Drifta.

The award is the Ugandan defender’s second of the season after getting his first in Gor Mahia’s win over Chemelil Sugar, which he also scored the winning goal.

The win took Gor Mahia second on the premier league table, just two points behind leaders AFC Leopards who they play next.
