Earlier in the day Antony Balotieno Nyangor spoke to futaa.com revealing his frustration at having his two year contract terminated without prior warning but then one would have been forgiven to think he is the only player affected.
The club’s vice chairman Mr. Faiz Ochieng confirmed later that nine players have been released effective Tuesday 1 May and he insists that they had been alerted well in advance to that effect.
He goes ahead to clarify that the action taken was in tandem with the technical bench members who had suggested that the players released were surplus to requirement. However, he declined to name the players.
Informed in advance
-I can confirm that we as the executive have acted under the direction of the technical bench to release nine players whom we had informed in advance about this. Though it is still premature to name the players, I should say it was well thought of and it is for the good of both parties, he told futaa.com.
Unconfirmed reports, however, have it that apart from Nyangor, Hugo Nzangu, Dimonde Selenga, Duncan Makori, Peter Juma, Vincent Otieno, Collins Omondi, Fred Otieno and Felix Nwoso are the players dropped.
