Tusker Premier League (TPL) side Gor Mahia FC secretary general Mr. George Bwana is hopeful that the club can help seal the gaps that have caused the unavailability of the team’s replica jerseys to ensure provision to fans before the current season comes to a close.
Meet soon
The official admitted issues at the sponsors’ end was the key reason why there are no original replicas on the market for the club’s supporters but confirmed that they have arranged a meeting with the sponsors soon, to address it.
A lot of fake Gor Mahia merchandise has been and is still in the market and Bwana, speaking to futaa.com, admitted the delay in availing approved jerseys has enabled unscrupulous dealers to flourish.
Unavailable
-Replica jerseys at the moment are unavailable, which is majorly caused by one or two issues among our sponsors but we still hope to start selling them before the end of the season.
-We have a meeting scheduled with the sponsors soon and it remains my hope that we will reach an agreement on a better way of getting the jerseys to the fans because the more we delay the more counterfeit goods get to the market, and people benefitting unfairly from the Gor Mahia brand, he said.
The club signed the sponsorship deal with dairy firm Tuzo in mid last season.
