Gor Mahia striker Itubu Imbem who helped his side overcome Ulinzi Stars in the Top 8 final on Sunday 19 August at the Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani is ecstatic after adding the prestigious accolade to his club achievements.
No greater feeling
The Congolese born forward has now won all club championships in the country after previously winning the league title with Tusker and the domestic cup competition with AFC Leopards and he says there is no greater feeling.
He admits that going into the Sunday game he had a feeling that Gor Mahia was going to shine. His instincts were right as he grabbed an important second goal that sealed the win for K’Ogalo.
Won everything
-I am very happy that today I have helped my team achieve this. I had this feeling that Sunday was going to be a great outing and the match lived to its expectations; I am happy beyond explanation and also because with this I have won everything that a player can desire in Kenyan football.
-It is a really great feeling. Most players go through their whole careers and they never achieve such, so I am very thankful to everyone, God, my teammates, and the fans for the favour, he told futaa.com.
Itubu joined Gor Mahia from Tusker in the mid season transfer period after a six month absence from Kenyan football.
