Gor defender feted after win over Karuturi

Gor Mahia defender David Owino was named the best after the Saturday 20 October match pitting Gor Mahia against his former team Karuturi Sport at the Nairobi City Stadium.

The defender was slotted in as replacement for Christopher Wekesa who was suspended for the game and he proved his worth, in the end earning a DSTV Walka for his performances and in the post match comments he said Gor Mahia is in pole position to win the league title.

-The match was tough but we were also prepared well and with this win, our sixth in a row, I believe this is the year we will win the title, he said.

Dan Sserunkuma scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot as Gor Mahia ran out 1 – 0 winners.
