Tusker Premier League (TPL) giants Gor Mahia are set to face off with second placed AFC Leopards in the league clash at Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani on Saturday 22 September as from 1500hrs.
Fairness
As they prepare for the game, the Gor Mahia Vice Chairman Mr. Faiz Ochieng has appealed to the match officials not to be biased in the eagerly awaited derby in a bid to avoid the scenes that marred the first meeting of the season between the two sides.
Sylvester Kirwa will be the centre referee in the encounter and the Gor Mahia official, speaking to futaa.com said with the pressure in the game his calls will play a big role in promoting the Kenyan game and as such wished him well in the game.
Promote Kenyan game
-We don’t want a repeat of the scenes we saw in the first leg; as a club we thus call on the referee and his assistants to make fair calls. This is a high pressure game so it also presents them a chance to play their part in promoting the Kenyan game.
-I know it will be tough on them going by the competitive nature of both Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards and also considering the fans’ contribution but I wish them an error free afternoon, he said.
