Girls second tier action called off

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Girls League Division One, the second tier after the FKF Girls Premier League was set to kick off on Saturday 11 August 2012.

Feeder of teams

The league, spread across two Zones; Eastern and Western was planned to end in just a months’ time – on Saturday 7 September.

However the kickoff has had to be pushed backward by a week

- Most of the teams that make up the league are yet to complete registration of players with FKF Player Registration System (PRS), said a source from FKF to futaa.com

The Division One league will become a feeder of teams to the top FKF Premier League at the close of each season and an absorber of relegated teams from the same league.

Suba Lakers

Participating teams include; Gaspo Ladies (Thika), Home Girls F.C (Muranga), Kathiani Ladies (Machakos), Furaha girls (Mombasa),Moving the Goal Posts (Kilifi) and Elite Ladies F.C – all in Eastern Zone.

Western Zone has Suba Lakers (Mbita), Victoria Ladies (Kisumu), Leeds (Nyanza), Kakamega Muslim,  Eldoret’s, Kick to Life F.C and Oserian Girls from Naivasha.
