Four AFC fans arraigned in court

OCS Wambua

In the aftermath of the AFC Leopards loss to Western Stima at the Afraha Stadium on Saturday 15 September, ugly scenes were witnessed as a cross section of the Leopards fans held the team hostage and engaged police in running battles.

Chaotic scenes

The chaotic scenes left two police officers injured, one of them the Bondeni Police Station OCS, Joseph Wambua, who was stoned in the head by one of the unruly fans and for a moment fell unconscious.

The OCS has, however, confirmed to futaa.com that four of the unruly fans, one of them the assailant, were arrested during the fracas and were taken to the Nakuru Law Courts on Monday 17 September.

Justice

-Our officers arrested four of the fans who caused the fracas after the game and this morning they were taken to court. We just hope justice will be served and such scenes in our stadia stopped for good, he said.

Wesley Kemboi scored a brace in the game before Mike Baraza grabbed a second half consolation for the league leaders.
