Asembo

After the Tuesday 16 October friendly match against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, a number of high profile friendly matches are lined up for the Kenyan national team Harambee Stars.

High profile

According the acting Football Kenya Federation (FKF) acting Vice Chairman Mr. Robert Asembo, the federation is in talks with leading European nations for possible high profile friendly matches.

Speaking at the federation’s Press conference at the Boulevard Hotel on Thursday 11 October, Asembo hinted at advanced talks with Macedonia for a face off in the near future.

Macedonia friendly

-Many more friendly matches are lined up for the team after the Bafana Bafana one and they are all high profile games. We are even looking at the possibility of inviting the big European teams and at the moment we are in very advanced talks with Macedonia, he said.

Asembo also spared a moment to thank the Harambee Stars sponsors, for the continued support to the team and called on fans to turn up in large numbers for the Bafana friendly.

Appreciation

-Tusker (East African Breweries Ltd) has really been helpful on the financial front and in many other factors and for that we are really thankful because running such affairs can be very demanding. We are thus calling on the fans to also play their part by coming out in numbers to support the team.
