Mombasa based Division One [Zone A] side Coast United will have to honour their weekend match after Football Kenya Federation cast off their plea to have the weekend match against Admiral postponed.

The club had asked the federation to reschedule the match after the passing on of their assistant treasurer’s mother with the burial scheduled for Saturday 27th October 2012.

No way

In a reply sent by FKF fixtures’ secretary Ronny Oyando, the federation rejected the request saying that it was sent less than 72 hours which is the latest time that such requests should be received.

- We Acknowledge receipt of your letter and offer our sincerest apologies. As consulted with the relevant organs regarding your request.

-I have been informed to advise your club that the above mentioned match shall proceed as indicated since your request is time bad since it didn't come within 72 hours as required by the rule and also its only a player or an official of the team dies or under force majure thus means your request has been rejected, read the statement.

The club is scheduled to play two matches this weekend. They will face Admiral on Saturday before squaring it out with Congo United on Sunday 28th September 2012.
