Football Kenya Federation [FKF] has sent a letter to the CECAFA Chairman Leodegar Tenga, petitioning the conduct of Secretary General Musonye.
Accusation
According to the letter, signed by FKF Secretary General Lodvick Aduda, Musonye is accused of having violated statutes of CECAFA Aritcle 8 Section 7 by:
-Persistently attacking the elected leadership of Football Kenya Federation accusing them of having manipulated the elections held one year ago.
-Arrogantly talking down on the Kenya Football Administrators including chiding Kenyans as a bunch of drunkards who spend time in bars wanting foreign football league matches on television instead of turning up in local stadiums to watch either Kenyan or regional football.
-Directing personal attacks on the credibility of the Kenya National team head Coach Mr. Henri Michel.
-Insinuating that CECAFA does not need Kenya and hence cannot be missed at the challenge cup, arising from a misrepresentation of the coach’s statement with regards to the clash in dates of both CECAFA and CHAN matches.
Request
In the petition, FKF note that the country will not pull out
of CECAFA and call for Musonye’s ousting.
-Despite the persistent uncalled for personal tirades from Mr. Musonye, Kenya
will not pull out of CECAFA.
-…The Federation wishes to put on NOTICE that we have lost
faith in Mr. Musonye’s continued stay as the CECAFA Secretary General and we
are therefore petitioning the Congress to have him replaced with a more
competent Kenyan personality .
Origin
There has been an unending back-and-forth exchange of words between FKF and Musonye regarding Kenya's participation in the 2012 edition of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
