The scores remained 1-1 at the break but Old Gold went 2-1 on 70 minutes with a goal from Wendy Achieng.
Eight minutes later, Karimi completed her brace in getting Old is Gold’s third goal that ended the scoring at 3-1.
Earlier in the day, MOYAS ladies picked up a hard fought 2-0 win over visiting Thika Queens in a game that was played at Langata Prisons from 1000hrs.
Title race down the wire
Elizabeth Mwikali scored a second minute goal before Mildred Cheche added a second on 58 minutes to seal the win for MOYAS.
A win for MOYAS over Thika on Sunday and a loss for Matuu over Old is Gold, their second loss of the season, sends the title race down the wire - to the final round of games in the league to be played on Saturday 23 September 2012.
Matuu is on 54 points, just a point ahead of MOYAS. Old is Gold is third with 50 points while Thika Queens is sixth with 33 points. All the teams have played 21 games.
