From 1600hrs, FKF
Girls Premier League leaders Matuu will host second placed Moyas Ladies in
a game that will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Wednesday 12
September 2012.
Rescheduled
The tie will curtain raise a Tusker Premier League tie between Sofapaka and Tusker that will be brought live thereafter, from 1900hrs.
The tie had initially been scheduled for Saturday 1 September 2012 in Matuu but was rescheduled to Friday 7 September as FKF mooted the idea of having the game curtain raise a Tusker – AFC Leopards League tie.
That never happened and it was pushed to Wednesday 12 September.
Best defensive
Heading to the game, Matuu is placed top of the 12-team log with 52 points with one point ahead of Moyas Ladies.
Both Matuu and Moyas Ladies have played 19 games and with each collecting 17 wins.
Having scored 91 goals from the 19 games, Matuu is the best offensive team in the league scoring an average of 4.8 goals a game.
Moyas Ladies on the other hand is the best defensive team in the league having conceded just 12 goals in 19 outings.
Winning streak
The game will certainly be a cracker as Matuu will be out to revenge their one and only loss of the season handed to them by Moyas.
Back on 25 March 2012, during match day three, Moyas embarrassed a star studded Matuu 3-0 thanks to goals by Mildred Cheche and a brace from Jackline Akoth. The game was played at the Langata Prisons.
Heading to the game, Matuu is on a 12 game winning streak and Moyas who have trailed Matuu from the final games of the first leg to date are on a ten game winning run.
