Former Kenya Football federation (KFF) Secretary General Ismael Ogolla Mohammed has accused Football Kenya Federation Football (FKF) of double standards in appointment of referees for the Division One league.
Same complains
Referring to the federation’s decision to ‘import’ referees for Bidco’s weekend Zone A coastal matches, Ogolla said the decision was ill timed and part of an elaborate scheme to frustrate Bandari’s promotion ambitions to the Tusker Premier League next year.
Ogolla said it is wrong for the federation to mislead the country that it has only received complaints of poor officiating in Coast while the same complains have been reported in Nairobi.
Special treatment
-All the coast based clubs participating in the division one league have complained of biased officiating in their city outings but the federation has not taken any action and we wonder what is so special about Bidco that is being accorded special treatment.
-We have never seen before coast referees officiating matches involving Bandari in Nairobi. The federation’s decision is part of a wicked scheme to sabotage Bandari’s comeback to top flight soccer next season, Ogolla said
Nairobi based referees
Ogolla further revealed that it is unfortunate that Bandari were fined of Kshs 300,000/= for their ‘unsanctioned’ tour of Tanzania while other clubs in Premier League including Sofapaka were left off the hook for the same offence.
Bidco United plays table-toppers Bandari FC tomorrow on Saturday 6 October at the KPA Mbaraki Grounds and Sparki Youth on Sunday 7 October 2012 at the same venue.
Both games will be officiated by Nairobi based referees, a decision that was reached by FKF’s Executive.
