Kenya’s football governing body Football Kenya
Federation (FKF) has affected a shift around in its various Committees; changes guided by FKF constitution, all aimed at jump starting its development activities.
Suspension
A National Executive Committee meeting held on Thursday 13 September 2012 saw a key change made in the Finance Committee.
Nairobi’s NEC Member Robert Asembo who has been the acting Vice Chair since the suspension of Sammy Sholei is now the Chair of the Finance Committee previously held by Nyanza’s Tom Alila Onyango.
Alila has now been relegated to the lesser Futsal and Beach Football Committee which was headed by Sholei.
Women’s Football
Most other major Committees remain the same with Western’s Elly Mukolwe still in charge of Technical and Training.
Rift Valley’s Doris Petra remains the Chairperson of Competitions, Eastern’s Angeline Elijah Mwikali heading Women’s Football and Terry Hussein still holds the Youth Football docket.
Central George Wainaina, rumored in some quarters to have resigned, still remains in charge of the Marketing Committee that now also includes TV Advisory.
Other dockets
The Committee heads have additional roles.
Over and above Marketing and TV Advisory, Wainaina, confirmed not to have resigned, will head two other dockets; Media and Publicity as well as Strategic Studies.
Beyond Finance, Asembo will be in charge of Ethics and Fair Play Committee as well as remain the head of the Legal Committee.
Emergency Committee
Mukolwe remains the Chief of the Referees Committee with Doris heading the Football Committee. Angeline’s additional role is being in Charge of the Audit Committee.
One Ahmed Siad will head the Sports Medicine Committee.
FKF Chair Sam Nyamweya, acting Vice Chair Robert Asembo, Doris Petra, George Wainaina and Terry Hussein are all members of the Emergency Committee.
