FKF asked to rein in on biased officials

homeboyz

On the back of a successful first leg of their debut season in the FKF Division One Zone B, Kakamega Homeboyz patron and sponsor Cleophas Shimanyula has called on the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to take stern action on biased referees who bring the game into disrepute through dubious calls.

Fourth placed

Shimanyula’s team finished the first leg as the only unbeaten side across the two Divisions, a factor which gives him much pride as he keeps the hope of qualifying for the top tier next year but many draws have meant the team is stuck at fourth place with 39 points.

Speaking to futaa.com, he said the nine draws registered in the first leg were mostly as a result of poor refereeing as they were forced to resort to defending more than they attacked.

Call on federation
-I am very happy at the team for being unbeaten this far; they have really made me proud and we still have hopes of getting the premier league ticket. However, I would like to call on the federation to act on dubious refereeing which has been the norm in most cases in the first leg.

-We have lost a lot of points because of biased officiating since in many such situations we were forced to defend more and attack less so that we can get something from the game. My hope is that in the second leg that will be dealt with, he said.
