Former top league side Finlay’s Horticulture shocked host

The tie that kicked off at 1000hrs local time saw the hosts Nakuru AllStars go 1-0 up after just five minutes after Premier League referee Isaac Ochieng pointed to the spot.
Dead ball specialist Noah Abich took his stride well to send the ball home for the first goal in the game.
Barely five minutes later, Finlay’s drew level through Patrick Nzengo. Former Karuturi Sport player Benlee Juma sent a hard drive goal ward but it was parried back in play by former Harambee Stars keeper Evans Omondi.
Headed a cross
Nzengo then connected with the rebound for the leveler.
On 36 minutes, Finlay’s went 1-2 when Benlee Juma headed in a cross from former Timsales FC player Noah Wafula.
The score line stood to the break and to the final minute and Nakuru AllStars will have to thank keeper Omondi for two fine saves slightly past the hour mark for keeping the score at 1-2.
The result saw Nakuru AllStars fall at home for the first time ever from 15 home games. For Finlay’s, the win was the ninth in 15 away games.
Top of the log
The first home loss for AllStars aside, the win for Finlay’s sent the Naivasha based side top of the 20-team Division One Zone B log on goal difference. The team is now on 72 points from 32 games same as Kakamega Homeboyz who play Nzoia United later in the day.
With a game at hand, Nakuru AllStars is now third with 69 points and ahead of idle Agro Chemicals on goal difference.
