Finlay’s Benlee on a hat trick

Former Kenyan Premier League player Benlee Juma who turned out for Karuturi Sport in the past season proved his mettle when he struck a hat trick for Finlay’s Horticulture in a 0-3 win over Yanga FC 0-3 in a Division One Zone B tie played in Nyahururu on Sunday 19 August 2012 from 1500hrs.

Personal haul to 16

Benlee notched a brace in the first half before crowning the score line with a third goal in the second half to seal that keeps the team fourth in the 20-team Zone B log but with an improved 56 points after 26 rounds of play.

Benlee scored his goals in the 42, 44 and 66^th minutes to improve his personal goal haul to 16 which brings him within to within two goals of Zone B’s lead striker Valen Semi Mahero of Nzoia United.

Yanga’s defeat leaves the side second from bottom with ten points after 25 rounds of play. On Saturday 18 August, the team managed a point after sharing the spoils after a 0-0 draw with visiting Shabana FC.
