Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2014, nomination of six football coaches of the year, three from the female team and three from the male team are selected for the Coaches of the year nomination.
Votes were collected from the coaches 33%, captains of the national team 33%, and 33% from selected journalists.

Manchester United’s Manager Sir Alex Ferguson have been nominated in the men’s category alongside Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola with Bruno Bini, Norio Sasaki and Pia Sundhage shortlisted in the women’s category.
The winner of FIFA men’s Coaches and Women’s football coaches of the year will be announced at FIFA Ballon d’ Or 2011 Gala on January 2012.
