Just days after announcing that it was considering a punishment for the clubs that travelled to Tanzania for friendlies without permission, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has insisted that the said clubs will not go scot free.

Must be punished

Communication from an executive meeting held at the federation headquarters Nairobi on Monday 17 September 2012 indicates that the matter was discussed with members agreeing to impose a punishment on the teams.

- This is a clear violation of the rules and regulations and the named clubs: City Stars, Sofapaka F.C, Sony Sugar F.C, and Bandari F.C  who travelled to Tanzania recently will face serious disciplinary  action.

- The Federation wishes to inform all clubs, and referees, that they must seek clearance before travelling outside the country for any football related activity.

The federation assured that the final decision will be announced in due course.
