With a prolific goal scoring first leg in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), it should go with very few questions that Sofapaka’s John Baraza gets a call up to join the national team in the forthcoming assignments.

That is what the fans felt when asked if in the absence of top striker Dennis Oliech the striker should be given another chance to don the national team colours.
In a poll on futaa.com seeking their views on the poll question ‘With Oliech out and Harambee Stars in need of strikers, do you think John Baraza deserves a recall to the national team?’, a total of 1731 fans voted.
Massive support
Of the total, 78%, which translated to 1358 polled in favour of the veteran striker getting the call up while 22% which equates to 373 voters felt granting him a call up may not be a smart idea.
Baraza has scored in all but one games in which Sofapaka have registered a name on the score sheet in the first 15 matches of the season, bagging 12 so far. He is also the league’s top scorer.
