Two Gor Mahia fans have sustained deep cuts in the face as a result of the attack on their motorcade as they were leaving Nakuru's Afraha Stadium, the venue of their team's earlier encounter against Chemelil Sugar, for Nairobi on Sunday 15 July.
Undergoing treatment
According to club secretary general Mr. George Bwana the two are currently being treated at the St Mary's Hospital in Nakuru.
Earlier on, the club's vice chair Faiz Ochieng had asked for local police involvement to see that the fans reach their various destinations safely and Bwana also confirmed the matter has been reported to the local police and the situation is being handled well.
-We have reported it to the OCS here and they are handling it well so there is no need to panic; just a confirmation that two fans sustained deep cuts in the face and are currently being attended to at the St. Mary's Hospital, Bwana told futaa.com.
