Lethal Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao has been the subject of transfer speculations to England with the Colombian being heavily linked with a possible big – money move to Chelsea in January.
Open to the idea
The Colombian, in an interview on sportinglife.com, stirred the speculations as he said he would be open to the idea of one day plying his trade in the English Premier League and is confident that he can adapt to the standards of the league.
-England? One day, I could go. It is a game I have watched for a long time and one day I would like to sample it.
-I used to watch it on television when I was a kid. Players like Roy Keane, Eric Cantona, (Gianfranco) Zola. But the one I supported was (Faustino) Asprilla, when he was at Newcastle. I think I could adapt to England. I think I could score goals, he said.
Instrumental
Falcao was instrumental in the Super Cup match between Atletico and Chelsea, scoring a treble as the Spaniards thrashed Chelsea 4 – 1. He has made eight appearances for his club this season, scoring 12 goals already.
