Former Ligi Ndogo striker Abbas Akinyemi has signed a six-month deal with Ukraine lower tier side FC Bucha.
Confirming the news to futaa.com, Abbas said he was elated for landing the opportunity to play for the club adding that he would do his best while at the club.
-I’m very happy with this move. I will work very hard while at Bucha and hope everything works out well for me, Abbas told futaa.com.
Career
Abbas made his name in the Kenyan Premier league (KPL) in the first leg of the 2010 season when he was the best scorer with five goals early on.
But he got lesser games thereafter and failed to increase his tally. At the close of that season he was released by 2009 Champions Sofapaka.
He nearly joined Tusker for the 2011 season but an imminent move fell apart with a day of the transfer window to go.
Loaned
After the Tusker heart break he joined Ligi Ndogo SC but was later loaned out to Rangers FC in the KPL.
He moved to Ukraine in July 2012 and has been on trials since then before being signed by his new club, FC Bucha.
