Tuesday 11 September 2012 will
see the second round of 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers kicked off in various
venues in the European Zone of qualification across from Group ‘A’ to ‘I’.
England will host Ukraine
The round of games set for Tuesday will follow up on the first round played on Friday 7 September.
In total, 24 games will be played with the earliest ties kicking off at 2000hrs.
From the Wembley Stadium in London, England will host Ukraine from 2200hrs while in another qualifier Portugal will be at home to Azerbaijan.
Nine winners of each qualifying groups
The Netherlands and Germany will be away to Hungary and Austria respectively. Italy, France, Israel and Belgium will all be at home to host Malta, Belarus, Russia and Croatia in that order.
At the close of the qualifiers, 13 teams from the European Zone will qualify for the 2014 World Cup to be held in Brazil; nine winners of each qualifying groups as well as the winners of four play-offs between group runners-up.
